Typewriter Mode

Typewriter Mode

It has come to my attention that sometimes people want typewriter mode for reasons other than computer source code or poetry. To that end I have just introduced a new tag: .type.

Without any additional flags, this mode uses the same font as regular text but treats every one of your line breaks as a line breaks, just as for poem or code modes. Example:

This is like
A poem for Ike
But without font Roman
I just want to say "Oh, man!"

However, if you want to really make your output look like a typewriter, add the c flag to get a Courier font.

Newsflash!

The Center for Disease Control has just announced a new finding.

-----------------CDC------------------------
Mean tweets have now be shown to cause dangerous accumulations of red bile.
Treatment with FDA approved leeches is advised.

Hmmm, that overflowed on my screen. I should have added another line break or used the .wide tag.

Anyway, as long as we're talking typewriters, let's think about business letters and whatnot. Oftentimes we want some text that is indented to the center of the page. For this, you can add the i flag. This can be used with or without the c flag. Hit the View QTML button to see how I did the following:

And without the Courier font:
