The Vicar of Wakefield

The Vicar of Wakefield (1766) by Oliver Goldsmith is a satire, though not striking as such, but mostly a riveting drama. I found it a very light and easy read and enjoyed it immensely. It was "one of the most popular and widely read 18th-century novels among Victorians" according to Wikipedia. Delightful, simply delightful. There are likely numerous other formats and editions available online, as well as a variety of paperbacks. Please note that I read a late (maybe the third) edition.

I have a lot of old books that may be from the Victorian era. I'll bring what I find the next time I come over to meet with Dr. Big Brain.
