Here one will find out all sorts of interesting things, like that it was Jullian Hawthorne who first wrote a book called and about The Great Train Robbery and that Victorians had a book called Baby's First Book! One may also find many now obscure Victorian novels (some of them may not deserve the title of literature) including one by the ponderous name of The Phantom City A Volcanic Romance By WILLIAM WESTALL.

Page 366 features a list of novels by Emma Jane Worboise. When I looked at her name and novels they faintly rang a bell. Have any of you heard of any of them?

I would read so many things mentioned in this book if I just had the time!
NOTE: IT TAKES A LITTLE WHILE FOR THE PDF TO COME UP, BUT that's just because it's 1397 pages and it will come up.

Concerning comment #II:
What really rings a bell is the novels Thornycroft Hall and Violet Vaughan. Though of course I've never read them and the ringing is vague.

Page 714 features a list of novels (though I'm not sure they were called such) for young women that may be useful, and after that comes an intriguing plethora of children's books.
