Playing with Button Styles

Do or do not. There is no try.

I have received complaints about my color schemes. In an attempt to mollify the Art Police, I have gotten rid of the two-color buttons. Now, a button has a color -- green or purple -- instead of being green and purple.

Less garish?

Or harder to read?

The convention is now green for more active buttons such as replying to a comment, and purple for things like editing an old post or viewing QTML.

What think ye?

I'm kind of tempted to invert the smaller buttons: black text on a gradient purple background or something. This might reduce contrast with the white background of the site.

Meh. I don't care much for the modern low-contrast color schemes in UIs.
