Well, the Regeneron monoclonal antibodies are no longer working. The cancer is spreading. There is a nice chain of swollen lymph nodes in front of my ear as well as new swellings under my jaw. One of those swellings is in the center, so it looks like it will enter a new quadrant soon.
And here we have my chin raised to show off the new cancerous lymph nodes.
The Libtayo has been terminated. My oncologist recommended conventional chemo, which I have refused. My gut and immune systems are messed up enough as they are. And the results of using radiation impress me not. So I am scheduled to try some other immunotherapy on Friday of more questionable effectiveness. Meanwhile, I am playing with a mostly raw diet and more turkey tail mushroom pills in order to do some home immunotherapy. It does produce some fever, especially when I do some exercise, which is a big improvement over earaches and other pain.
Big shoutout to Greg Johnson who sent me his oxygen generator and pointed me to Gary Breka. Sometimes oxygen kills the pain. Don't know if it actually hurts any cancer cells, but breaks in the pain are really nice right now.
Gross Pictures to Follow
Here is a spacer pic to keep the weak of stomach from seeing what comes next. Leave now if you don't want to see Things Man Was Not Meant to Know.
First, the original lesion:
And now, the lymph nodes on the back of my neck:
The irradiated lymph nodes look a bit less bad. I did a poor job of holding the hair back so I know not how much good the radiation treatment finally accomplished. But the new lymph node growths further down the neck more than make up for the progress behind my ear, and the new growths in front of my ear make earaches still a thing.
Note also how the hair has not grown back around the irradiated lymph nodes. Gamma rays aren't good for hair follicles.
The Most Horrifying Picture of All
OK, I'm breaking the embargo on taking my shirt off. And the results are horrifying -- worse than Al Bundy at the beach using insect spray as deoderant.
Yep. I am way out of shape. Despite dropping 20 pounds this year I'm not exactly ripped. Gasping to the point of nearly puking is a big disincentive to hitting the weights. And look at the moob under my right armpit. If only Biden was still President I'd be ready to prance on the White House lawn. That's some quality cancer. Might need to add a C to that alphabet thingy.
Yes, there are elected Democrats who could beat me at the bench press at the moment. Very embarrassing.

I'm very sorry you're having discouraging setbacks. Besides the turkey tail mushroom pills, are you still following any other regimens?

My doctor wants to start me on a combo of Ketruda and Cetuximab. Still waiting on insurance company approval.
Besides the turkey tail, I'm going on a high raw diet with no dairy.
