The question was asked on Facebook: What album has the best cover? So I thought I'd list my favorites on a platform where you can zoom in on a picture decently.
Tell me which is the grooviest and/or nominate your own favorites -- preferably with pictures.
Tubular Bells
Mike Oldfield
The album that turned Virgin Records into a real label instead of just a record club.
A Rainbow in Curved Air
Terry Reilly
Another hypnotic album with cover art to match.
This album gets grooviness points for the back side:
Especially for the poem at the top:
Yes, it takes serious quantities of weed or other chemicals to actually believe the vision is possible. But that's the point.
White Winds
Andreas Vollenweider
Looks like something out of a high fantasy novel or movie, and the music inside would go with the latter nicely.
Stratosfear
Tangerine Dream
Not Tangerine Dream's best album, but perhaps their best album cover.
Voice your opinion in the comments below or on FB if you prefer. Once again, feel free to nominate your favorite.

White Winds is the loveliest and the music would even be suitable for the former, as well as the latter. I myself listened to it many times while reading Helen Hunt Jackson's Ramona even though that isn't even a fantasy novel.

I'm rather partial to the cover of Spinal Tap's Black Album.

I really like Terry Reilly's poem. It is our future -- even if we have to beat up a bunch of Trump supporters to get there!

i wish Collectivists & Anarchists would consider a non-violent approach to political debates. statements like these make me want to support Trump even more than i have thus far.
