A Few Quick Fixes

Carl Milsted, Jr on Mar 18 19:58:16

After a long hiatus I have finally made a few tweaks. I intend to do this more often in order to keep the code fresh in my head, as well as the off chance that these tweaks might rekindle interest in the site.

Today, I just did a few trivial fixes.

  1. I fixed some typos on the front page (for those logged out) that were pointed out to me by a schoolteacher of my acquaintance. Given my ambition of making this platform suitable for academic discussions, this might be important.
  2. I made the "forgot my password" link more prominent on the login page.
  3. I added the "forgot my password" to the login page for those who attempted to log in but used the wrong password. (Doh!)
  4. I also beautified the button on said page.

I hope to improve the navigation to reduce the number of clicks to get to certain pages as well as provide alternative paths for those just learning the system. (Novice friendliness is important.)

As always, feel free to make suggestions in the comments below.

The landing page looks good, except for one typo that caught my eye. "We aren't into evil robots &ndash except for making silly pictures."

Regards!

Got it fixed. Also, updated the MyStuff page to include a link to one's posts. It goes to the bottom of the page in order to take you quickly to the latest posts.

Doh! I found a typo above that I didn't bring to your attention last time. Mea culpa. "...that were pointed out to my by a schoolteacher..." Your schoolteacher acquaintance may catch this too. Change the 'my' to 'me'.
